Ten Poems

I.
lit metal,
lit bones.
i clung to you like i was drowning.
i was drowning.
you like wing,
my collapsed sailor, savior?

II.
a pillow of halitosis.
greek garden,
betray me for my lotus
bends back
white spine blooming.
yes a surplus of teeth
suspended in a
dubious mouth.

III.
which highway leads
to the thunder split?
my forensics divulged
an unsatisfactory plan.
swallow his salt.
let the true prayer step forward.

IV.
circumspect circus
blown out at blonde
tips. a white cake
swoops in for the kill.
her mouth filled with
elliptical 'oh' has no room
for a nightshade
fluency.

V.
chest like a tilde
braced like a ship.
the tide inside
licks cake, deep
composes blue
bluer than ink.
damp nipples
weeded sea
light erection
and big
bowed
rain.

VI.
your heave came
and it's dirt and spectacle
time. forgiveness
and shelf-life extended
like a road's crust
over the earth's
true mimicry
black and gold.

VII.
reuben tries to go there
and salt water taffy
is only a memory
the back of my throat
persists in swallowing.
and freestyle swim
trims the waist,
and wasted lands
feel good wrapped
around thin ankles
gentle pendulum.

VIII.
freebase
rat race
suck comb
at the torpedo
truancy.
eliminate
handy ho
and heave
a starlet
craving
leafy
and
mean.

IX.
winded?
rival your tooth!
a whitening
sensation,
blurry above
ground.
thunder
strew
caverns
into our chests
which we plugged
then with
anise
and stars.

X.
do you understand me
when i say do not
understand me
just curve the knot
and say your prayer
of spilt oil
of image bolt,
jolt in the brain;
cereal ten minutes
in the bowl.
