deborah brandon holds an MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2004) and a BA from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln (2001). Publications include Denver Quarterly, the premiere issue of Cadillac Cicatrix, Hotel Amerika, Puerto del Sol, Slipstream, Evergreen Chronicles, and BirchLane. She is recipient of an Academy of American Poets university-based prize, F-News Literary Award 2004, and a Graduating Students Fellowship Honorable Mention (2004).

deborah was born in Savannah, Georgia and has since lived in Alamosa, Colorado; Cedar City, Utah; Lincoln, Nebraska; Dallas, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; and Tucson, Arizona, where she currently resides with her husband Reuben Vinal; two cockatiels, Shelmerdine and Josephine; and pionus, Leonard.
